Over the past couple weeks we've simply been trying to get back to normal. Audrey went back to school last Monday after three weeks off and our lives quickly settled back into a routine. We've had a good week, doing "normal" stuff. We also enjoyed seeing all of Randy's extended family this past Saturday...our Friesen Christmas. Randy's side is so big, with so many families included, that it's impossible to try and coordinate a get-together around the actual week of Christmas. So the last couple years, we've gotten together on the first Saturday of January. We enjoyed having new faces at our gathering...baby Kevin (great-grandkid #12), Chris (cousin Karen's fiancee), and Sara (cousin Brian's girlfriend). We also remembered those who were not with us this Christmas...Great-Grandpa Al, Randy's dad, and Uncle Leonard, who spent his first Christmas with Jesus this year. Great-Grandma Lena reminded us that, aside from those three in heaven, the entire family was there this year...a huge blessing for her! Here's Violet with her Great-Grandma Lena (Arlene's mom), who turned 93 this December! Here's a few more pics of our "normal" stuff that we've enjoyed doing these past couple weeks.

Here's Violet's new trick...to stand up by herself! She's took one step towards a toy last week, and again last night, but no actual walking yet.
Here's Isaac in one of his favorite play spots...under the table, with a Tupperware plate for a steering wheel. He was the bus driver, driving Audrey and her babies to see the doctor (below).
