All the fourth graders from Manchester had a play day at Oso de Oro park to end the school year. Here is Isaac with his teacher for the year, Mrs. Wagnon. He learned so much this year, not just in the classroom but also out running cross-country, playing bopper-ball (his absolute favorite), and playing the drums and bells in beginning band. We were so thankful for the hard work from his teacher!!
Audrey also received Student of the Month award for the final month of the school year. She is always a hard worker, and always kind to her fellow students, as well as one that looks out for other kids that might be having a hard time (either socially or academically). I was happy and proud to see her chosen for this award!
Thursday was the sixth grade promotion and I was able to be there to take a couple pictures and clap for Audrey and all her classmates! It was a very nice celebration for the kids! There were a number of students that have been at Robinson the whole seven years and have become very close friends, making the morning a very special one.
Audrey being congratulated by her teacher, Mr. Hatch
On to Jr. high!
Audrey and her friend Veronica. These girls started in kindergarten together in Mrs. Burgess' class and have been friends all seven years! They played soccer together, both play violin, and played volleyball and softball on the 5th/6th grade teams as well. Fun times with a good friend!
Audrey and Janna. Their first year together was second grade.
Audrey and Kharma. Also friends since kindergarten! Her little brother is Violet's age and is moving to Manchester next year with Violet so we hope to keep in touch with this wonderful family!
Even though Violet was still fighting a cold, she came along for the promotion and stopped by her room to get her papers and give some last day hugs! Violet and Sophia have been inseparable (for good AND bad) these past two years! Next year, however, Violet is moving to Manchester GATE (same school as Isaac) but Sophia is not (there were 80 students that qualified for 60 spots so they had to do a lottery and she didn't get picked). We love her to death and can't wait until they can be in the same class again!
We hope all of you had a good ending to your school years and are having a wonderful time enjoying the summer weeks off! I have so many pictures from our past few weeks (family wedding, family vacation with my parents and brother's family, camping, etc) and hope to get them blogged sooner than later!
