A visit from our cousins

For months now, I have been looking forward to seeing my cousin...and the kids have been counting the days until they get to see their "cousins" too. They live in Medicine Hat, Canada (about a 24 hour drive) and have lived there for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my dad's brother, Daryl, his wife, Molly, and their 2 kids, Matthew and Rachel, would drive down every other summer and we would go on vacation together. Rachel and I have pictures together at Pismo Beach, Fresno's Playland, and especially Disneyland! Rachel and I have been leading similar lives over the last 10+ years as she found a wonderful, godly man to marry, Jeff, and stays home full-time with her 3 kids, Joel, Toby, and Katie. We "keep up" with each other through the amazing technology of Facebook, and have been looking forward to this visit for a while now. They drove down last week, and while they've been here, we've driven to Visalia (they stayed with my dad's sister, Yvette) to see them 3 times, and to Pismo Beach together over the weekend as well. Last night we drove down for one last BBQ before they left this morning for the long drive back.

A huge thank you goes out to my Aunt Yvette, Uncle Russ, and my cousins Spencer and Preston for hosting all of us so many times over the last week and a half! We enjoyed your pool, your food and your hospitality immensely! And a big thank you to Uncle Daryl, Aunt Molly, and Rachel and Jeff for making the trek to California to see all us family. We know how much work it is to travel that far with 3 young kids, and appreciated it so much. We LOVED seeing all of you and can't wait to plan our Disneyland vacation/family reunion together when all the kids are big enough to ride the rides! Enjoy all the pictures!

Grandma Janice loves the pictures! I am a little sad that I missed all the "cousin" fun!

Can't believe I just now got on to see this post. Thanks so much for your commentary, pictures and taking the time to come see us down in Visalia! We had so much fun too and hope to make it an every other year event.
