Our big kindergartener!

Yesterday, Audrey got all dressed up in her new dress, new shoes, and new backback (full of new pencils and paper) and headed down the street to start her first day of kindergarten! Randy took the day off to help with the other two kids since the school wanted a parent to stay behind for orientation with their child. All 5 of us walked to school (about 1/4 mile) and then Randy, Isaac, and Violet said goodbye and headed home. While the parents got all the info and paperwork they needed, the kids went to see their rooms and meet the other kids in their class. It was only about a hour and a half total time and then we went home. Today was the first full day...8:10 to 1:10. She had a great time! She loved storytime and recess, of course (she said she went all the way across the monkey bars), and loved taking her mom's Wonder Woman lunchbox with her too! She also wore her new princess watch from Rocky (one of Randy's friends) and left it on ALL day so she wouldn't lose it! She was exhausted and slept for two hours this afternoon. It's hard work waking up at 6:30 and spending a whole day at kindergarten. While she was at school, Isaac and Violet and I started our new "routine". With Violet laying down for a morning nap, Isaac and I had one-on-one time. Today he chose to play Candyland four times in a row and then played airport with his Little People. I think we're all going to like this new school schedule!
