Sorry we haven't put a new post up recently, but really, nothin' much is going on here. The extreme heat is gone...so that is a really good thing! We have recently enjoyed playing outside at the park, or taking a bike ride around the block. You can do that when it only gets into the 90s! Last week, Randy enjoyed attending the National Mennonite Bretheren Conference (held this year in Boone, North Carolina) with his friend (who also happens to be our new lead pastor), James Bergen. He had a great time, hearing about what is going on with M.B.s around the world, spending time with other M.B.s (my parents as well as James' parents were there), and golfing (TWICE!) with James and other friends.

While Randy was gone for 5 days, the kids and I stayed busy, going to friends' houses to swim, cooking fun dinners (here's Audrey making blueberry aebelskivers for dinner...YUM!), I had some friends over to scrapbook one night, and we went to Reedley to visit Great-Grandma Lena on Saturday (sorry...forgot the camera). But after all of the "keeping busy", I was exhausted by the time Randy got home!

So the last couple days we've been relaxing, doing nothin' much. Here's a picture of Pirate Isaac...he and sister have a lot of fun pretending with their pirate caps they got out of a Happy Meal recently. And, of course, we need a picture of Violet too! Here she is, having fun in her high chair. She is really moving now...she can one-arm army crawl with the best of them (almost as fast as Isaac was) and she loves to make happy squeeling noises all the time! I guess you can say, we've enjoyed the calm before the "storm" of house renovation (painters came to paint the living room yesterday...however, we didn't bother putting the living room back together since the flooring company comes on Monday to start tearing out our old floor). I hope to post our next blog with pictures of our newly finished living room!
