Today my baby girl turns 7! Where did the years go? She is such a wonderful, goofy kid that makes me laugh and smile, and then melts my heart when she cuddles up beside me on the couch, or still wants me to sing to her as I tuck her in bed! She has grown so much in the past year, not only in height, but in her academic work (quite the reader these days, as well as adding and subtracting with the best of 'em) and her family responsibilities as well. Adding a younger sibling can be hard work but she has welcomed Isaiah with graciousness and love as she tries hard to "help" with Isaiah or around the house when she can! Thank you, God, for our beautiful Violet!
Here are a couple pictures from her party this past Saturday. She wanted to spend a couple hours with some friends at Playland. This was about the easiest party ever as I baked some cupcakes the night before, had Violet help me frost and decorate them the morning of, filled and ice chest full of water bottles and Capri Suns and took them all with us to meet her friends to play for a couple hours, then back home!
