Camping

I think we've slept in a tent more nights than we've slept in our beds this past month! Our family was up at Kings Canyon National Park the weekend after school was out for four days/nights (June 21-24), and were joined by multiple families from church throughout the weekend!  Some stayed for the whole weekend, some came up for a day, but all had a great time!  Most of our photos included Isaiah, this being his first camping trip (to our knowledge).  But we can't post any of those.  So here are a few others from the weekend.  As a side note, Isaiah did GREAT!  He was kept busy with all the sticks and rocks; he didn't mind getting in the backpack carrier for hikes; and he slept well in the pack-n-play right beside Randy and me.  Good thing he likes to camp, 'cause our family loves nothing more in the summer months!
Randy brought his scope so he and Isaac could spot and identify all the birds!

Randy loves to run in the mountains...well, he loves to run anywhere, really.  But he loves the challenge of the altitude and the hills.  I just had to take a picture of him in his bright clothes.  I laughed at all the bright colors.  He said, "But you can see me, right?"  Good point since he likes to run on trails and sometimes along the windy mountain road.

On Saturday we counted 16 adults and 18 kids!!!  The Schlesselman's campsite was on the side of a big, open, hill.  Great for playing a group game of lineball!
What a great start to our summer!  We just returned from a 13-day road trip to Portland (with stops on the way up and back).  Hopefully I'll get around to posting about that trip soon!

Looks like a lot of fun. I need to pick your brain about your favorite camping spots.
