Seeing them five days in a row was fantastic! We were so glad they were able to make it for Grandpa's funeral and can't wait to see them again!

Canadian "cousins"
After ignoring my camera for weeks, I finally downloaded pictures from the past month and had some fun ones to share! My cousin, Rachel, and her family live in Canada, south-east corner of Alberta (it is a big country, donchya know). She and her husband have three kids very close to my kids' ages. We love it when their family comes to visit! Maybe some day we'll venture into the Great White North to see them!
Katie, Audrey, and Violet showing off their newly-painted fingernails.
It was "boy time" with Legos in Isaac's room. Isaac gave Joel and Toby each a Lego man to play with for their ride home.
We got out our backpack carrier for my cousins to use with Katie while hiking in Sequoia National Park. Violet and Katie took turns putting the baby in it and tryin' it out for themselves! Katie and Violet were too cute together...they held hands, hugged hello and goodbye, and Katie insisted Violet was her sister, not her cousin (although what exactly are they when I and her mom are the 1st cousins?).
Seeing them five days in a row was fantastic! We were so glad they were able to make it for Grandpa's funeral and can't wait to see them again!

If you guys are cousins, they are second cousins! I've been hanging out with my second cousins (my mom and their dad were cousins) here and babysiting their son. For that relationship we have easy explaination haha.
Those are great summer memories! Love, Mom
