Our Easter Sunday

Once again, sickness has foiled our plans for a "normal" holiday. Isaac spiked a temperature of about 101 late Friday night and it only got worse over 24 hours. So Sunday morning, Randy and Audrey dressed in their new Easter clothes and went to church by themselves. I got to stay home with Isaac (now at 102) and Violet and I both had stuffy noses as well. We still enjoyed the day together as a family while resting and watching golf on TV. We ended the day with a small egg hunt in the backyard after eating our reheated Easter lunch for dinner (thanks Arlene for the leftovers). We hid big, shiny eggs for Violet and smaller eggs for the older two...in better hiding places. So they all had fun finding! We also read the resurrection story together as a family before bedtime.Well, Isaac's fever broke overnight, and Audrey has one more day off from school, so today we are having a good time relaxing and playing together. We've already dressed up and danced to some music, watched CARS (for the 20th time, at least), and played some catch in the backyard...and it's not even 3 o'clock yet! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! It is great to know that no matter how our day turned out, the Easter story remains the same...He is risen! Indeed!

It is true, there is no sickness or gloomy weather (like in Texas)that can change the story of our risen Lord! AMEN!
